The Department of Home Science at Millat College, a constituent unit of Lalit Narayan Mithila University, Darbhanga, Bihar, was established in 2011. Departmental Rules
- A minimum of 75% attendance in lectures, practicals, and departmental activities is mandatory to be eligible for appearing in final examinations, in accordance with university regulations.
- Students must return all borrowed items from the Departmental Library before collecting their admit cards for final exams. Any overdue books or materials will result in penalties.
- Students are encouraged to participate in departmental activities such as seminars, workshops, community outreach programs, and other events. Active participation is considered a vital aspect of their learning experience.
- Timely submission of assignments, projects, and practical work is essential. Late submissions will incur penalties unless prior approval is granted by the concerned faculty.
- In case of continuous absence for more than seven consecutive days, students must inform the Head of Department (HoD) in writing, providing valid reasons and necessary documentation.
- Students must maintain a respectful, disciplined environment in the department. Misbehavior, ragging, or harassment will not be tolerated and may lead to disciplinary action.
- Students must uphold the highest standards of academic integrity. Any form of cheating, plagiarism, or dishonesty in assignments and examinations will result in strict disciplinary measures.
- Students must handle the department's resources, such as laboratory equipment, computers, and other materials, responsibly. Any damage must be reported immediately.
- Students are expected to dispose of waste responsibly and keep the department clean. Littering is strictly prohibited, and waste should be disposed of in the designated bins.
