About The Department
The Department of mathematics at Millat College, a prestigious constituent unit of Lalit Narayan Mithila Darbhanga,Bihar.the department of mathematics was one of the nice departments with which the academic journey of millat college began in 1964.The department was invested in creating an enriching space where the practice of critical thinking is given as much value as the ugc syllabus.After successfully running of five academic year the secretary of under graduate council of nbu directed to convert the course from self-financing to normal status of the under graduate courses.The department of mathematics has been performing successfully for the last few years.Studying in this department helps you develop analytical and logical thinking skills, which are useful in many areas of life and work.

Department is committed to providing an education that combines rigorous academics with joy of discovery.to provide an environment where students can learn, become competent users of mathematics, and understand the use of mathematics in other disciplinesimparting of quality mathematics education and the inculcating of the spirit of research through innovative teaching and research methodologies.To implement curriculum, instructional strategies, and courses that effectively promote the learning of students.

Facilities of the Department
Students in the Department of Mathematics have access to many different opportunities and enhancements meant to further their content knowledge as well as their academic careers.
Department Rules
- As per the University norm 75% attendance in class is mandatory for appearing in the final examination.
- Students must return their borrowed items to the Departmental Library before collecting their admit cards for final exam from the office.
- Students have to participate in the various events such as student seminar, workshop, debates, movie screening, wall magazine publication etc. organised by the Department.
- Appearing in Class-Test, Pre-Test, Test Examination is mandatory.
- Students must inform the HoD in written in case of continuous absence in the class for more than seven consecutive days.
- Students must help to maintain a healthy academic atmosphere in the department and must not involve in ragging or harassing anybody.students are requested not to litter and to keep the waste in the dustbins available in the campus.
- Students are requested to stitch off the lights and fans when leaving the department.
Highligths
Department of Mathematics is setup with a well-furnished Computer Lab for C-Programming Language and to fulfil other ICT based requirement of the departmental students.
most of the faculty members hold PhD degrees.all the faculty members are deeply engaged with research publication and they have a good number of publications in different reputed journals.all the faculty members are technically sound and they provide a remarkable Digital Classroom environment for online and ICT based learning.
